The Aurora Gallery

Rental Rates

The Aurora Gallery opened its doors in 2002 in Chelsea, New York's Art District. The Gallery was started to provide the under-represented artists of New York with a location to showcase their works. The Gallery has been the venue of choice for a wide range of art related events, from big movie productions like "The Interview" with Steve Buschemi and Sienna Miller to world renowed muralist's the Tats CruNow located in Long Island City, Queens The Aurora Gallery has found a new home and new voice. The goal of the Gallery is to be a cultural Mecca for all types of artists to show their works. From painters to dancers, videographers to muscians and everything in between - all are welcome. The Gallery also acts as an affordable private event space. For those in search of a unique venue in NYC that has an eclectic feel The Aurora Gallery is the place for you. Whether you are a bride in need of an inexpensive and amazing looking reception venue or a visionary film scout in search of the a versatile location we are your place.
Private Event Rates are Dependant on The Date of the EventNumber of GuestsHours of the RentalPrivate Event Rates start at $1,300* *for a four hour event with 50 guests or less ending by 5pmAll Event Rentals include:•Tables (round or rectangular)•Chairs (black, white, beige)•Lounge Furniture•House Decorations•Projector and 12 ft Screen•Toiletries•One Staff Person•Setup/ Breakdown timeWe do the basic setup of all Gallery furniture. Non-profits requesting the venue as a donation must submit via email Verification of 501c3 statusA description of your organization A description of the event and its purposeA description of how proceeds will be usedA description of how the event will be promotedA description of previous events hosted

About Hector " Nicer" NazarioBorn Hector Nazario in the South Bronx in 1967. He was fortunate enough to be born with creativity running through his veins At an early age. Throughout the 1970s he played in abandoned buildings, transforming them in his mind into magical worlds of wonder and using his surroundings to create trucks and cars of bricks and wood chunks found in abandoned lots in His south Bronx neighborhood.In the 80s, as a teenager he was drawn to the colored written Graffiti on the Subway trains and walls. He went on to become one of the founding members of The Famous TAT Crew. It was his first official introduction to the art world.At the end off the Subway Painting movement that propelled the TAT crew into subculture stardom, the members split and went there own ways, except for three. NICER and his two childhood painting partners vowed to continue to do what theyd loved, painting. Forming the first Graffiti Company of its kind, TATS CRU, INC was born.
